As of 4 November 2020*, a total of 3,011 Dubai properties (residential properties only) were sold in October 2020. 1,248 off-plan and 1,763 from private individuals. The total volume was around 5,324,504,428 AED.
That is 621 properties or 17% less than in September 2020 (3,632 Dubai properties sold) and 1,587 properties or 35% less than in October 2019 (4,598 Dubai properties sold).

EURONEWS reports that "... in Dubai, despite Covid-19, transactions worth 16.3 billion euros were made in the first half of the year ..."
Dr Michael Waters, Associate Professor in real estate at Dubai's Heriot-Watt University, says it's been good news for investors, especially over the longer term:
"From 2012 to the current day, anyone who's invested in Dubai has seen an annualised return of about 8.5% per annum. So in the Global Competitiveness Index, which is a way of ranking global cities and their attractiveness, Dubai has moved from 29th place to 6th place within the last few years".
